Hello all, could anybody tell me how to make character and face injection and removal files (.fc2 and .rsr ?)  for injection and removal of custom morphs in Poser 6?

I add my custom face morphs into the Expression library pallette, but find that it only produces .fc2 files and png thumbnails, and it doesn't work (nothing happens) when I click on the newly-added custom morph (thumbnail ) to re-apply it to the base figure.   In checking out the files in other face folders, I find that there are .rsr files in addition to the .fc2 files, but I don't know how to make .rsr files for the expression/face morph folders.

I'd appreciate your input!    Or, are there such tutorials somewhere on the Web?

You didn't state which version of Poser you have, but if you have Poser 5 or Poser 6
you don't need the .rsr files once the .png is generated and the .rsr files can then be
deleted to save disk space.

Thanks Fazzel!   But I did say Poser 6 at the end of the first paragraph above 😄

Strange thing is that when I clicked on the thumbnails of the morphs that I just added to the library, the morphs don't apply to the base figure of the same type -- nothing happened.

I wonder what went wrong. . .

BTW, the base figure I tried on was P6 James Hi-res with FBM -- I used Random Face feature in the Face Room plus some tweeks of my own to generate some face morphs, then saved them into the library, and when I clicked on the newly saved morphs trying to apply them to the base P6 James Hi-res with FBM, nothing changed.

I don't know how to make actual INJ and REM FIles, but if you've created a custom Face in the faceroom, for any of the figures who can actually go in there. Save the figure to your library with External Morph target's Turned on and then create a Pose file that will inject those morphs next time you want them.

When you're finshed just delete the character from your library and you can load the Pose to a fresh character every time you want it.  I'm sure there's a tutorial right here in the forum threads on how to create the Pose file that calls the PMD file. I've used it.

Thanks Mizrael !   I forgot to re-check the "with External Morph Targets" check box, which (now I realize) caused the problems.

Previously, I had it unchecked to make the saved files usable by earlier Poser versions.
Thanks again!
