DAZ is offering huge price cuts on Mimic for the next couple of weeks.  Like, $5 for Mimic Lite (for PC members).

They're also offering a bundle of Mimic Lite and Mimic Pro ($55 for PC members).  Why would I want both Mimic LIte and Mimic Pro?

Use of WAV audio (and other uncompressed audio formats) is so ancient these days so you'll likely want to do your own audio yourself. Mimic does great animation, but it's weak in the sound department IMHO.

Don't forget PoserSpeak ($45) which available here at Renderosity...

Requires Poser PP / 5 / 6 but since P5 was given away free that should less of a problem.

If you missed it, it's still available from Content Paradise for $20.

I don't know I've been wondering about that also. I've lite myself, consider getting Pro, but once I've got pro I would never use lite again.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

FWIG you can buy Lite for $5 and then upgrade to Pro for $49 - at the same time. Kind of a roundabout way, but marketing is always something of a mystery IMHO.

I would hope that randym77 would start practicing proper web manners from here on out and keep Renderosity a politics-free zone. There are other forums for that sort of thing. SS

OTOH, you could just lighten up.

BTW, if anyone's wondering...according to the mavens over at the Mimic forum at DAZ, Mimic Pro is what you need if you want to make a non-Mimic-ready figure speak.  Or if you want to adjust the phoneme morphs.  Mimic Pro will also automatically add expressions to the animation, so it looks more natural.

Still haven't decided which to get.  I'm leaning toward Mimic Lite, because I don't anticipate doing a lot of animations with human speech.
