Hello All!

  Just about to post a render when suddenly I realized I don't have any idea what to title it. Please help me out by suggesting a name. I've asked around and heard suggestions from "Swimming for Pearls" to "Nude Girl All Wet" but...anyway.. please help!

I have some of his prints rolled up and put in cardboard tubes so they don't get damage. Damn great artist, love the velt prints you could get of his that when you used a UV light on them you saw something different in them.

Looks very much like a Rusalka, a slavic spirit of a drowned girl. Whatever you name it, it's a great picture. David

I settled with a combination: Sirenic Dance. I usually have other variations of a render, this one, for instance, there's a version with dolphins and another with ruins. So some of those titles already mentioned, especially the tranquility ones, will certainly be used. Thanks all! :-)

To me it looks like a Nyad (spirits of the water, daughters of Neptune).  If I were going to title it it would be "Nyad Rising."  It looks like she is rising out of the sea floor as if Neptune had just created her.

I agree, Nyad (Naiad) would have been good to title it. Trouble is I had already rendered a Naiad in a previous upload, being a figure with a water material. I was very close to calling this one a Naiad, yet I didn't want to give two conflicting images of what I thought a Naiad ought to look like. The other image is "Alethea" in my gallery.

Well, since a naiad (nyad ... whatever) is a mythical character, it's a little hard to have "conflicting images" of what one would look like.  The same artist could have several versions of the same mythical character (a good example of that would be Goya who had vastly different interpretations of Zeus devouring his children throughout his career .... Zeus and even the age of the child being devoured were amazingly different in two pieces with the same title).

You shouldn't limit yourself to one "thought" about what something "should look like."  You will only hamper your artistic vision.  Let your imagination go nuts ... step outside the box.  Do more naiads ... do a series.  If they are all as good as this one, then you are adding to good art.

Speaking only as the person looking at a really good piece of art, it looked like a naiad to me, and if you ask me what I would title it, that's what I'm going to tell you.  It doesn't matter how many images you might do in your lifetime on that theme, that's what it looks like to me.

And now I'll get off my soap box.
