The genre for the October Challenge is:
(drum roll please...)
Flowers/Plants !!
I'm hoping this will be a popular genre. There are certainly plenty of examples in the Gallery.
(Click here to see Gallery examples)
You can find the challenge page

Hello,
Valou....There are plenty of plants and trees right?
It can be a flower, or it can be a plant
sometimes plants live indoors
what about a dead plant?
Here in the US where I live, the trees are changing color, so for some,
that is a great opportunity..

We've got some lovely entries so far. Keep the coming gang. Dried flowers can be very aethetic as well... And don't forget about mosses and lichens. I do hope we see some nice fall shots too.

Size submissions, I think the upload description of 1024 x 1024 should be changed to 1000 x 1000 as that is the max size one can submit, also there is no file size in bytes for the thumbnail, just 100 x 100, which means sometimes, the upload report says that the thumbnail is too large.
bclaytonphoto posted Wed, 18 October 2006 at 9:13 PM
I was told the max size is 1024 for contests...
I've never had to define a file size for thumbs either..
I'll have to look into this with the programers
