Subject: Netscape Browser "Back" Doesn't Work at 'Rosity

Terry Mitchell ( ) posted Tue, 03 October 2006 at 10:31 AM · edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 1:22 PM

Two different computers, one W2K the other XP, both using Netscape 7.2 as the browser, same problem.  Only at Renderosity does the browser's "back" button not work after I've opened a message thread to read, for example.  Most often the progress bar at the bottom of the browser window never quite gets all the way done ("Waiting for www.renderosity .com"), and  I have to select the "Retrun to top of forum" option to escape the open thread.

Intel Core I7 3090K 4.5 GhZ (overclocked) 12-meg cache CPU, 32 Gig DDR3 memory, GeoForce GTX680 2gig 256 Bit PCI Express 3.0 graphic card, 3 Western Difgital 7200 rpm 1 Tb SATA Hard Drives

Terry, Your browser version is out-of-date. The latest version of Netscape is 8.1.2. Netscape versions below 8.0 had a bug in them adding every iFrame loaded in a page to the browser's history, which is that is causing your problems. Upgrading to 8.1.2 will fix the problem you are having. Hope that helps, N

I have the newest version of firefox and your pages like to go out and get a new ad most of the time when I use the back button so it really is a pain in the rear.
It does not do it all the time and it never did it before the upgrade.
