just a v. small, if dumb question.  I've not used RTE decoder before.  Only other I've used is Objaction Mover.  Can someone do a quick run thru on the processes in RTE, pls?

thanx

Hi Sheila,

1, Open RTE-encoder.

  1. Tick "DECODE"

  2. Click "File to decode" and browse to the rte file you need decoded.

  3. Click "Key file", and a popup appears with the name of the file what was used to encode the rte file.
Just browse to that file and click on it, and it will load into the middle slot.

  4. Click "Save as", and chose the folder you want the decoded file to be saved to. Hit save in the popup window.

If the key file was correct, a popup will show to confirm that the conversion was succesfull.

To protect DAZ copyrights, GIRL 3 had to be encoded TWICE, to make sure you have both AIKO as well as the GIRL.

So after you did the first decoding, you have to decode this new file AGAIN, but this time with a different key.

So AIKOGIRL 2.rte is converted into AIKOGIRL 1.rte
And AIKOGIRL 1.rte is then converted into  AIKOGIRL.obj

The keyfile for the first conversion is the blGirl. obj, the keyfile needed for the second conversion is blAiko 3.obj

thanks Stahratte

very much appreciate the help - I'd not used RTE before so got into a muddle, lol.  Hope I can do something good with Girl 3 now!

Thanx Pitklad, but managed to get sorted - see link below - am quite chuffed with result as I've never played around with morphs like this before 😄
