Hi folks

I hate dynamic hair. For me it's slow to render, unpredictable, unnatural...

But I NEED to work now with a hair model which only exists in dynamic version, so... off... I need to fin a tut. Anyone can help me?

WARNING: I don't need the Geep's tut. It's oriented more to understand and create NEW hair, but I need to work with FINISHED wigs (for example, the Poser5 or 6 dynamic hair included in the pack). I need how move these hairs to get a natural fall (for example, a head in a pillow and the hair nicely distributed over it, the head, the shoulders...)

Attached Link: http://www.adorana.de/downloads/

Go there and click on [Dynamische Haare](http://www.adorana.de/downloads/categories.php?cat_id=1)  and download one of the hair and look inside the readme folder.  There is an HTML file that takes you to some instructions on how to use dynamic hair.

Instead of growing the hair directly on the head object, the hair is grown on the skullcap.
That way the hair can be transferred from one character to another, and I think it
also gets around copyright violations you would have if you tried to distribute
the hair on the head oject itself.

Actually, not all skull caps can be redistributed with hair.  PhilC does have some skull caps that you can use to grow hair and destribute the hair though.

A skull cap just allows you to grow your own hair and save it as a prop in your library for future use.

To cut down on render time set Raytrace to off and set Pixel samples to 2. When you are done with setting up your hair and need the raytrace in your render you can turn it on.

When you're done setting up the hair I suggest testing a smaller area to see if the difference in results betwen the settings is big enough to accept the longer render time.
