I've recently taken delivery on a new computer, and am in the process of setting up all my programs. I have my workspace in Photoshop just the way I want it and do not wish to go through the process of setting up all the preferences again.

Is there a way to move my preferences (or whatever they are called) from one computer to another?

Thanx for taking the time to read this plea for help.

Your workspace and preferences are stored as a file(s) that you can transfer over to your new box.

To locate them you need to have “Show hidden files and folders” enabled in your Windows Folder Options>View.

Then look for them at C:Documents and Settingsuser name (specific to you)Application DataAdobePhotoshop9.0 (or your version)Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings.

Inside that you will find all your preference files and another folder named “Workspace” which contains the custom UI layouts you have set up.

Make a copy of all that stuff and paste in into the same location on your new box (after you installed Photoshop).
