been without internet for some time now ('bout a year and a half) and therefore out of the loop regarding many things.... particularly Carrara 5 and what additions/subtractions/upgrades/updates/etc. have been added since C4Pro....
Can anyone point me to some past threads on this site about C5's introduction (and DAZ's acquistion - that one floored me when I found out)... have tried searching but have found nothing helpful, yet... and have never really enjoyed DAZ's site.
Any helpful links would be greatly appreciated.
Also, had to reinstall C4Pro a few months ago, and know that I don't have the most recent patch for it. I found that I had saved the 4.0.1 update.... but nothing after that., and believe I remember a 4.0.3 or even later update from Eovia.... any help obtaining the most recent update for C4Pro would also be most appreciated.

V4.1.1 is the last patch for C4Pro that I know of. You can get it by going to the DAZ3d website, choosing -->support-->downloads from the upper menu bar. Then just select Carrara in the dropdown window and there ya go! All the Carrara patches for C1 on up. Doing a search here should turn up the Daz acquisition topic. It was a pretty hot topic on many forums a few months back. It might have also gotten mixed in with the Hexagon2 release discussions. Things were happening so quickly and close together at the time. Geez, ya know... I can't recall now what the new big features were? Must have been good ones though, since I bought the upgrade. ;-)

Carrara's transition over to Daz went over smoothed. Hexagon's transition over to Daz didn't include its programmers. Stuff hit the fan about that for months still.
Amapi didn't make it over.
Be sure to get Carrara Pro 5.1. It is awesome with all the cool plugins for it.

Thanks guys.... got there hoping that the improvements/changes would be insignificant enough that I would be satisfied to keep my C4Pro for a while longer.... but, nooooo.... They had to go and add some really cool stuff... And if you guys are pleased with it, it all must work with minimal or no bugs... so it looks like I gotta find a way to convince the wifey that I really really need to spend money we don't have to upgrade....
BTW... didn't see a cost for upgrade from C4Pro to C5Pro... just C4 Basic.... anyone know if it's the same cost?
