Anyway, the only glitch I have noticed so far is that once the program starts to render, you don't date try to stop it. It freezes for the exact length of time it would have taken the whole render to run. Is it me or is this common??
Anyway, I started playing with something. I don't know yet if this is an early draft WIP or a finished item.

I don't have any problems stopping a render so I don't know how to answer you about your glitch.
Love the image - at least it's not the normal SOW ... LOL!

And as for the glitch .... great, it's probably just me.

Lookin good Ricky! Been a long time:-) As far as your glitch I'm not sure either, there were a few reports on the PC side during testing about it, but it was suppose to be "resolved" I thought...I don't have any problems with most things on the Mac side of it all though. (btw) you might keep checking DAZ's site..you might find a Tollure' Submarine on there:-D
Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Unfortunately I also had render freeze; it stopped at 40-50 prc AA pass on certain images; I never figured out exactly why it happened... :-( (B5.1)

CLAY!!!! Hello, kiddo!! Long time no see!
Hey, that Tollure Submersible was what got me into Brycing. I'm still in love with your render.
It's just my luck, I'd get the buggy download. But, what the hell, I'm still having a good time.

Dagnammit, I didn't even know Bryce 6 was out until I came to this forum tonight, which means I've missed out on the offers. :| Did DAZ send out emails as I haven't received anything about the release recently?
rickymaveety posted Mon, 27 November 2006 at 4:23 PM
I don't remember if I found out through email or if I just stumbled on to it from popping into the forum. It was a fantastic offer, however.

Yes DAZ Sent emails to the Platinum Club Members last month and sold Bryce 6 to the members for 6 bucks. I read all the problems people are having and most of mine wear just setup problems, like lowering the wireframe resolution on the Motion, Static and Selected. Turning off the Wireframe Shadows except when I need it. Once I lost a scene because B6 said I ran out of Memory on a 'save-as' and it didn't take advantage of my Virtual Mem #^P That really sucked, But the IBL works GREAT and I am enjoying B6 very much!!! ANd BTW, that's a wonderful Image, Really Really Cool Work 5 by 5 !!!!!

Oh thanks. It's really just one removed from a SOW, but I didn't have enough time to do something much more than that. However, having now taken my exams, I have gone quite nuts doing renders of the DAZ House Mouse. My gallery is rapidly becoming House Mouse Central.

Maybe I can help, I have a very nice mouse trap, humane one that just traps the little blighters :-)

I aren't a Platinum member but I'm on the general DAZ mailing list, I thought I still would have received something at least saying it's released?
Ah well...it's obvious what it refers to, but what is SOW an acronym for? Sign of Weakness? ;-) Hopefully I don't do them anymore anyway...

Ricky - great use of terrians! On the hanging problem did you let your computer's screen saver or sleep mode happen? On my Pentium D DP WinXP Pro SP 2, if I let either of those happen Bryce6 slows to an absolute crawl when I come back to the render. I just turned them both off and just shut off my monitor on long renders and haven't had this problem. This doesn't happen for all machines, but it seems to be more prevalent with DP and Dual Cores. SOW - Sphere Over Water. And, let's hope that we all stopped doing those fairly early on.
Thanks, Dan, re the terrain. It did come out rather .... well, interesting. :)
