I am running vue 5 with my poser 6... my poser has only the first update, and I refuse to update poser further... I hope that vue 6 infinite will like my poser 6 just the way it is?

Poser 6 is working fine with Vue 6 from what I can tell.

I was thinking the same about Poser 7 until I read about the new features. The multiple Undos sounds very promising so far.If they announce a better interface to manage the runtime library, I will probably get it.

I can't stand scrolling down long lists just to view what I have accumulated in my 6 years old runtime library :)

I agree fully with agiel.  I use Daz Studio to browse through my runtime files, find what i want  then open Poser and wait nearly 2 minutes.  P7 better offer some big stuff in order to convience me to buy it.  Otherwise I will keep using DS to find what I want in Poser.

Lyne, You're in good company.  I'm not planning on getting Poser 7 either unless they come up wih some major useability improvements (e.g. a true object browser, the ability to remove unused or zero'd morphs - not just hide them, and Agiel's runtime management).  Vue 6 works great with Poser 5 and Poser 6 right now, so there's no need to sweat an upgrade to Poser 7.  Save your money for Vue Vegetation.

just one small side note... I DON'T scroll anymore in P6 because I love the FOLDER STRUCTURE that you can take as far as you want....so when a library gets full (in the manner that all things in it show on the fly out) I start a new one to fill up... ie: I now have "V3 Clothes 1" folder with contents...then another folder of the same name...but 2, 3 and yep...just started on 4 for her... anyway...I do the folder structure in explorer and yes I can go have lunch while P6 opens (because I do not want multiple runtimes for my 60 gigs) but once open for the first time, it opens FAST the rest of the day for that computer session.... Oh and I use P3dO a LOT!!  It really is scary how much I have and have not used...and then can't find it... ! but that is another forum! :)

multiple undo's would be really good, but not enough for me to buy it (nor new characters).... I want a "recent opened" thingy too.... anyway...thanks for the input that P6 likes vue 6!

as far as i can see v6 likes p5 aswell as p6, so no need at all to pick up p7 unless they realy do come up with something stellar.

Agree, Lyne, P7 won't make it to my PC unless they come up with something that I would use (can't belive they still won't support radiosity for their firefly renderer!), and that has nothing to do with an "improved renderer", new content, and a lypsinching function that looks odd.

Have any of you thought about what will happen if you dont get Poser 7 and Poser 8 becomes available and it will cost you more for the upgrade by not haivng poser 7.

This will be one the reason I will stay ipgraded to poser 7.   Also as time goes on you know that e-on will have to make poser 7 work with Vue or there will be a lot of unhappy people.

I am still waiting to see the other 3 reason tro upgrade but the money savings to upgrade to Poser 8 is one my reason to go ahead and get it when I see what all the reason are.
I dont need that extra content so may pass on it making the upgrade cheaper.

Just my 2cents on Poser 7.

I agree with most of what agiel said but probably will get Poser 7 due to the speed increases alone.  Especially in preparation for when I can afford an intel Mac which e-frontier is reporting will experience speed increases of 200-300%.

Thus far, the new features & changes e-frontier is advertising for Poser 7 does make me feel that this time, the upgrade will actually warrant buying it.  In the past, the changes to new versions didn't seem so great (ie: Poser 5 to Poser 6).  This time however, it appears to be a different story.  Especially when reading what Poser 7's beta testers have been able to share without infringing their NDA's.

I don't plan to pre-order since I'm not wild about the promised new content.  I prefer to wait and see how smooth running this version will be.  But if they continue reporting new features and speed increases as they have so far, I most likely will take the plunge and upgrade.

I dare you, while there is still time, to have a magnificent obsession. --William Danforth

e-Frontier is well known for charging the same upgrade price for new versions to customers that are a few versions behind as they charge current version owners.

Actually, iloco, the upgrade price for P7 is the same wether you have P4, 5 or 6.  Which is not right at all, since many got P5 for free very recently.

It is, iloco, and if it only affected software upgrades, this would be a fine world!
