I have resisted for a long time, because I didn't want to look stupid LOL, but today it has got the better of me .
I have to ask - What on earth does "AFAIK" mean? I have wracked my brains, but this one is beyond me & it is driving me nuts .
Thanks

Do not feel bad...even before internet, I had problems figuring out, "ASAP." people were talking. Like what in the world? We are all talking acronyms now?

The very best is when you change professions!
Or, for technical writers (and some students as well or so I imagine), the field in which you work/study.
The meanings of certain acronyms can totally change. And as often as not, they are the very ones you'd become the most familiar and comfortable with.

The best one in those lines that I can think of is 'i' and 'j', they're both the root of minus 1. Depends on whether you're an engineer or mathematician! Took me a while to get used to it.
