When I'm bored, I start turning dials on Apophysis fractal generator and importing to bryce for experimenting and effects.  I've fiddled with Knot plot and a few others but Apop blows my simple little mind with it's range of flames.  Here is a neat one I just cooked up and what can be done with it in bryce as a terrain and mat.
