I remember that question was asked as I was installing Vue 6 - I checked the 64 bit but I just read now that my computer uses 32 bit so I guess my question is, what do I do now???
I am having problems running Vue 6 Infinite - I have an almost brand new high end computer so I'm not sure where the problem lays but as it stands, I can barely use it. Forget eco-painting - it keeps locking up when I've added a few things, yet if I add them the old way, it accepts them.

...it sounds "possibly" like it may have installed the 64bit version on your 32bit OS...(I am assuming you DON'T have Win XP 64bit on your machine)...
My understanding is that Vue 6 automatically DETECTS which OS you have and installs its self accordingly... If it DID install the 64 bit version- that might be the reason- if you haven't already, I would COMPLETELY un-install V6i and then re-stall and "check" the 32-bit version when you re-install-- so as to FORCE the 32bit version installation... IF NOT checked...there would be the possibility that your OS "now thinks" you want the 64bit version again, etc...

Thanks for your reply Veritas! I'm a little bit hesitant to uninstall Vue just yet, simply because I have the node-locked version so I don't want to go shooting myself in the foot :)
Will just use my V5 Infinite until we get an update I think and play with 6 til I learn some of the new features.

...so are you saying that WITH the node-locked version you CANNOT un-install and re-install it?
THAT's a SCARY thought!... (I HOPE this really is NOT the case...)

I run a dual boot system with XP Professional in one partition and XP x64 edition on the secondary one. I installed Vue6 in both partition and run some sample scenes just to check that everything run fine, no problem detected, but no significative performance gain of the 64bit op.sys Vs the 32bit. I believe it could only be handy when large size rendering are required or with very complex scenes. Both Vue6 install was activated without problem.

Okay, I just needed some reassurance it could be done. I have saved my Vue 6 program files to a DVD but for the moment, I see no reason then to do an uninstall.
