I'm stymied on the postwork phase for this recent photograph. Two of the above images have been adjusted and one is the original image, no adjustments (except resizing). Your critical remarks and suggestions will be gratefully accepted, so please be as blunt as necessary!

Well the clouds are the strong point, almost abstract. That's what I would go with. I would crop the left side so ALL the shingles were gone. Then rotate it either 90 or 180 degrees... but that's just a personal taste. Those clouds are awesome.

well Carl!...F.S got a point about crop the roof top part. Personaly I would go with "C" I like a shiluett effect on a trees, but perhaps I would adjust a cloud color a bit darker ( more blue). Conbine B' cloud color and contrast with C' trees.

**In some cases, you have confirmed my intentions; in other respects, some of the suggestions seem counter-intuitive to me. This project needed fresh perspectives, and it will benefit from them. Thank you so much for your insights! **

A bit late, but for what it's worth: B for the more emphasized clouds plus some of the other suggestions.
Good luck, show us in time what you have come up with Carl.

I think clouds and sky is proper in B....and then if you can do that colour and contrast for C it would be good. Like Tunde. I enjoy the silouhettes of trees.

Personally I think you missed an opportunity to make the most of the sky and to find an alternative POV where perhaps just one tree, and use of a polarising filter

Hi Carl,
Just interested to see what you come up with regarding these ideas.

**@danob & TwoPynts: I snapped a bunch o' shots! This one had the most sky/cloud color contrast. BTW, "C" is the original image as downloaded from the camera; "B" is closest color-wise to what I remember the true sky color to have been. I am experimenting with curves and levels. It is interesting to see all y'all's thoughts on the subject... obviously, that roof has got to go! **

They don't come along too often so fill up that memory card with as many angles and POVs as you can.

Okay Carl, gotcha. Well as far as working with what you've got here, the others pretty much had it covered, so I didn't add to that. :)
