In my attempts at creating my own characters and delving into the depths of the Setup Room I encountered a problem I just can't find a solution for.
Namely, when scaling the head of the figure it scales different parts of the head differently, scales one half of the neck but not the other etc.
I just have no idea what causes this and how to remedy it. Every bit of help is appreciated here.
The first example is the head scaled in Poser 5.0, the second one in DAZ|Studio.

it looks like overlapping groups and z-displacement (neck moving back).

I can't find any overlapping groups in the group editor though.

I suspect that your problem may be with the "smoothScale" channels. Whilst I can't advise you on how to fix the smoothScale channels, you may get better results by just deleting them. If you want to try this, make a copy of the cr2 with a new name, use the free utility CR2Builder (or CR2 Editor, or a text editor) to delete the smoothScale channels from the eyes, head, neck, and any other parts that have scaling problems. I'm not sure what causes this problem, but it may be due to wrong rotation order when the cr2 is made.
