Hi Gang,
I need a black character for M3 that has accurate textures on the hands. Specifically where the skin is lighter in the palms than on the back of the hand and arms.
I'm doing a project that requires getting in pretty close to the hand.
I haven't bought him yet but "Mandingo" seems to be the best as far as I can tell.

Is there a better one anywhere?
Thanks,
Joe

I also looked at the marketing images for G2 Kelvin at Content Paradise but the hands look like they aren't modeled correctly. Strangely thin long fingers that don't bend accurately.
I could be wrong though.

Don't know what you've already considered, so if you haven't already, take a look at "Zere M3" by Morris.Neyjour posted Mon, 20 November 2006 at 3:14 PM
Bacardi:

This looks like an excellent quality texture. It's for M2 but the notes say there's a version for M3, Freak and D3 coming soon.
If you look at the bottom of the page you'll see links to some other textures, but clicking on the Character Textures link (left nav bar) only brings up 2 products...

Mabuntha:

This one's for M3. It doesn't show a detail of the palms but you can see that the soles of the feet are lighter than the rest of the body. I'm guessing the hands would be the same. Nouschka does really good textures. I have Russel and just love him! :)

Ah! Here's Mabuntha at the RMP! Sample Image 2 shows a really good preview of the palms:

Mandingo is a great character. Lluque has his own site with a store where he sells things far cheaper. Go here:
The Mandingo Combo Pack for M3 is $4.70 USD
Check out his other items too. I nearly bought out his site when I went there. He's also got lots of things for $1 in the "total madness" area.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. Here is the verdict.
Zere M3 and Vincent M3 unfortunately don't have enough of a differance between the light palm and dark back of hand. They are really nice though.
I purchased Bacardi, Mabuntha and Mandingo
The thought is, use Mabuntha or Mandingo. If they have problems (because I'm going in close on the hand) Switch to M2 and use Bacardi.
Thanks again,
Joe
P.S. What a great community!

I hope you saw my earlier post about Lluque's own site and Mandingo being cheaper to buy there.

Ok... The winner is... "Adro". Let's give him a hand (punn intended).
This doesn't mean that the others aren't good. They are very nice. Adro had the right color differances that I needed. The client loves it and I get to get some sleep. :)
Thanks,
Joe

Yes it is.
As for the blond hair.... could be hair dye :)
