Air freezes your breath
cold makes your nose run, sleet falls
Who'll dig out my car?
We're finally getting a real nor'easter here. Not happy at all. I can't get to my daughters to babysit, but work is across the street for her so she's always expected in. My grand daughter is out in this mess being a child! I am missing it all. My car doors are frozen shut! Tonight it will be really bad! Sorry to see the temperature may dip to the low sixties in FLA, try to stay warm, chin up.

Florida Winter.
I feel your pain, BJ. And it probably would just be annoying to tell you its 65 here now, sunny with blue skies though we've been waiting for our brand of winter to return... it's held off unexpectedly for a couple of soul refreshing days. Even here, this weather is a surprise for February. But take heart- it'll be down to 20s by Friday and Saturday. Then I'll have to replace my sleeveless tank with a turtleneck and wool socks and hope not to get sick from all this weather ping-pong... though I'll take it any day!
Stay safe and warm where you are.
Here comes Santa Claus,
Making late deliveries;
All the kids applause.

For those interested I've begun a new poetry challenge thread which follows in a similar vein to the haiku challenge.
Check it out here. Should be fun.

Applaud spring,
For it gathers near.
Tulips bud.
I hope you don't mind, I took some liberty with your ending word. I am working on a poem for your other challenge, by the way. Of course by the time I finish it there will be a new entry already posted and I'll have to start over. And don't forget the Love Challenge. Surely all you haiku aficionados can come up with a passionate haiku or two for the Challenge. So far there are only two entries, and February is almost over!

Utopia Writing in a new era.
Gasp does the snowman:
Spring warmth melts his lifeless face;
Puddle with a tan.

jstro: Ah great, I await your poem with anticipation; remember, it's perfectly ok to submit your poem even if one has already been posted (just make sure not to elect a new title), as it would be a waste of your creative efforts and I'm sure everyone would enjoy reading it.
Please submit soon as I'm eager to tackle the next poetic challenge.
Hmm... should we begin a new haiku thread on the topic of 'Spring' (again), or is it time for a non-seasonal haiku challenge?

Yes the beautiful day rips on outside and my pool begs for me to put some shock in, chlorine and the new cover. They say our weather will change tonight back to cold...rats.....
