I, Tim, "work" with Bryce 5.0 since 3 weeks. Is it possible to put my own cloud fotos into Bryce skies? If yes, HOW???? Created my own mat- and terrain-files before and it works, but - awww, no skies...
Thank you for help.

Dear I, Tim..
one way you can use your own skies is to create a 2d plane and load the pix as a mat on it using the leo editor.. (there is some tut on how to use the editor as well as HOW to find it..). and then using that plane as your background, working over that.
try getting susan kitchen's bryce book.and use it as your bible..you'll adore her for that.
happy brycing....

Welcome, where are you from. TheBryster lives on Mars most of the time. Never, ever mention the use of another 3d program in front of him. He will tie you up and do terrible things. Mucho help can be found here.

thx for quick help and welcome
thought it's easier to make own bsk-files.
Introducing: I'm Thomas from Germany - or was it Pluto?? not sure... perhaps both. greetings to all marsians
And Bryce is the only 3d program I understand a little.shame
Got it from my older sister, she told me, it's quick and easy enough for lazy bones Tim... Will see...
When I not bryce around I play with PaintShopPro8.

Hallo Tim!
GErmany, Pluto,... what's the difference. They both freeze over in winter and neither is a planet LOL
But Germany is home of some of the best engineering, and it even coined the expression 'now that's solid german engineering'
I shave with a Braun, my Coffeemaker is a Krupps, my second car was a VW Golf....
Here's my starter tutorial on Bryce 5:

There are a few good tutorials on this subject at this link.

Title: B5.x Lattice Sky 2005
Title: Combination Sky Part 2 - Enhancing your Image

For some reason I can get to this link provided above but cannot access the individual tutorial links. Keep getting a time out error(maybe because I'm at work and were having problems with internet) I'v used these before and their quite good. Let me know if you can access them, I'd be interested to see if their still available.

As Bryster says 'Welcome to the Asylum'.
You will find many, many talented artists in this Forum and their generosity is abundant as is their advice.
If you stick with Bryce long enough and use the advice, sometimes called, "constructive criticism', and 'tricks' offered by this group, your bryce abitities are bound to get better as you do more creating.
Best advice I can offer is try not to get discouraged if things don't work for you in the beginning. Just ask for help in here and apply it and it should become easier over time to use this wonderful program to create something you can be proud to show us.

Welcome TimPeck:-)
My only comment (so far) is: There is no such thing as a silly question. Only silly answers.
Your question wasn't silly, and in this case there seems to have been no silly answers (except this one, of course)..
Cheers,
Diolma
