I got mine downloaded okay - MAN, that's a big honker! But when i installed it, I wanted control over the installation, but what they "offer" isn't really control, IMO: "Install ONLY new content OR install ONLY old content." Not much of a choice! What if I want to chose from both? Install it TWICE and then delete and merge? That's idiotic. For as much room as this takes up, we should be able to determine just what of all that content we want to install or not, rather than "old or new - see, you get a choice!"

Not even a pair of checkboxes:

X Install new content
X Install old content

?

Wow, that's lack of foresight.  Seems that the Japanese masters have not yet mastered the old-timer Poser developers.  Remember, wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off. :P

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

I hand and took the option to install all content.

Choose "Full Install" to get everything.

Same as we got on all poser versions.

Choose Custom Installation and then only P7 content. Thats what you want and should if you already own P6.

Actually, I tried the custom install and selected only new content, since I was planning to leave my P6 runtime intact. I then found that nothing in the Walk Designer got installed, and I couldn't open the Walk Designer window, even with the P6 runtime attached, because it couldn't find a file. I went back and did a full install, and that problem cleared up.

I've been planning for a while now to move my runtime to another disk anyway, so I'm think I may just go ahead and re-install my content into P7's runtime anyway.

What is the password for the zip file? I have tried the serial number for poser 7 and poser 6; my password at e-frontier; the order number; account number and nothing works. I can not unzip the file so I can't install, help!

What old content did they include?  I remember the outcry when Poser 6 came out without the majority of the Poser 5 content.  It may be time to ditch dork and possette for good as they are very primative by todays standards.  Who uses Don and Judy anymore?  I never really loved them anyway.

I too intend on keeping my Poser 6 runtime, even if I uninstall the application I will move the library to my external runtime libraries.  So it's good to know that I don't have to install all the old stuff all over again.
