I haven't played much with it, but I missed the Casino stuff entirely at first. It's kinda hidden (not really, but kind of):
Props -> Poser 7-> Casino_Poser7SE
This is where youwill find the Casino props, but, it is decieving because there is another folder in there named "Chips". Which of course only has poker chips.

Iv find it strange how so many people have poser 7, yet theres hardly no renders or screen shots showing what the content is like or new features?
tom271 posted Thu, 14 December 2006 at 9:47 AM
Yes it's been all about V4....... not one peep about the other contents..... Which was the whole sales point in getting the pre-order.... it was to get the extra **stuff... **
You think that maybe it might be that people wanted to show or express some displeasure towards the way the contents were logistically handled by EFrontier during the PR campain....
and cover the outright refussal, in the beggining of the campain, to get the pre-order...

Or some of us have jobs and haven't had time yet.
:)
I did do a quick dragon render with a jade mat I made in poser 7. It's under Poser 7 dragon in the forum.
I want to finish a render I'm having issues with in Poser 7...looks like a texture problem...then maybe I'll get to the casino.

Hi,
I am still trying to download P7 as E-frontier seem to have "resume" truned off and my ISP knocks me off, so have set a small freeware to ping every minute.
This is now my 10th attempt :-(
Any one else having Problems downloading?

Not for me it wasn't, I wanted to play with the new features. I only pre-ordered because I wanted to play sooner.

Here's what I played with today. I'm not all that happy with the Casino content yet. This is all I managed to do with P7 today (still dealing with the flu a bit) after installing it. The Casino building needs more (better) texturing. The first render is default, the second render I used RDNA's wall materials (and different lighting). It looks as if the walls have backfacing polys in them but I don't know why they don't show up in default. And if you notice the rounded windows above the doors, you can see the same problem in both renders. (firefly, both times)
Sydney is ok, not entirely happy with her texture (but that's why we have so many content providers, right?) I do like this hair though. She's wearing her casual pants and formal top. I increased the bump in the second render. (too much though I think)
Without going into a lot of details, I just expected better of the casino content. Not in quantity but in quality. I'll work more later, but saw this thread and thought I'd post my renders.

Not too shaby of work there Kendra. The second one kind of reminds me of the Stardust in Vegas.
Yeah, to be truthful, the casino stuff is neat and the car is cool, but the best part about the expansion pack is the characters, and that is a huge debate, but I like them just fine.
In anycase, I really didn't buy the upgrade for the content. It could have come with nothing except the P4 characters and I still would have bought it (might have complained a little, but not much). I bought Poser 7 for what's under the hood.
The morphing tools, the reliable rendering engine, the utilization of multi-processors, the animation layers, talk designer, these are the real reasons to get Poser 7. These are hard to show pictures of, but will make our day to day lives so much easier and in the course of the coming years, it is these changes that will have more of an impact on what artists are creating with Poser then V4 or Sydney or the Casino chips.
I'm very happy with my upgrade. I almost can't believe this is the same software I started with way back with Poser 4.

I bought for the content. Had I known I wouldn't be completely happy with it out of the box I'd have waited for a more convenient time, financially, to upgrade. Ah well. I'm still playing with it and plan to fix the textures to my liking. :) The characters, so far are ok. I've yet to get V4 so I thought I'd give Sydney a spin for a bit first.
Yeah, I can see the stardust in that. It also looks a bit like the Horizon in Tahoe. :)
