I bought "glamour hair" from DAZ3

http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=4798&cat=126

and am having problems adding it to V3. I add the hair but it looks like a wireframe so I think I need to add it's texture. after buying the hair, I installed it and It came with these libraries:

Figures: "GlamourHair"
Pose: "MAT GlamourHair"

I added the figure, glamour hair to the V3 model I'm working with. The hair comes in as a new figure so I conform it to V3. It shows as having no texture (looks like a wireframe) so I'm trying to add the material. I tried:

  1. from the "pose tab", add "mat glamour hair" -- does nothing
  2. from the "materials tab", add "mat glamour hair" -- does nothing

any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi, The hair looks like a wireframe until you render it, this is normal. Also you shouldn't need to conform the hair (unless the hair's read me tells you to do so), as most hair is automatically parented to the intended figures head when you bring it into the scene.

Hope that this helps.

I don't know about most, I have way more hair in my Character files (needs to be conformed in Poser) than I do in the Hair files.  But yes, wireframe is normal. If it really bugs you, go to display and click on doctument / figure or element and click smooth shading :-)

To get over the Wireframe deal:

1.) Select your Hair Figure.

2.) Select the first Part of your Figure.

3.)  Select Display > Element Style > and make sure it is on Texture Shaded!

4.) Repeat Step 3 for each other Part of your Figure.
