Yes, Firefox 2.0 has a spell checker included in it apparently. Very cool thing it is.
If you're typing in a message box, misspelled words will be underlined in red. Right clicking on one of those words will bring up a list of possible corrections.
Like I said, very cool, and it seems to work well on all the places I've tried it....well...hmmm, with one exception.
Did you guess that that place was renderosity.com? Well, yeah.

But, didn't I know that even before I decided to try it? 😉

Unless there's some setting in FF I don't know about, or maybe an extension  to get of some sort? Works everywhere else....

Now, I understand that this entire site, as well as others, are in part examples of Bondware in action, but, to tell you the truth, if I were looking for forum software to use for my company, I'd just use good ol' phpBB software. Not just the spell checker, but other things too, including, but not limited to, the fact that the message text isn't resized with the rest of the page, and my browser tells me I have to adjust my security settings to use cut/copy/paste text with my mouse. Works with the keyboard, why not the mouse? shrug
And that's just the message box stuff, not anything to do with the rest of the site's functionality.

Why must we struggle here through these things, when every other site makes it so easy and problem-free?
I mean, seriously, this is the only site I visit where I feel regularly compelled to complain about the software, and it's the only site at which I see so many of the same complaints over and over again.
Is it just that we don't march in step with Bondware? 😉
