About half a month ago we had a user posting in here that her piece got Moderator's choice and suddenly she was getting all sorts of comments.
Well, after being on Elfwood since the mid-late 90s, somebody over there finally noticed my gallery and this piece is now on the 'Pic of the Day' list:

Unfortunately I'm about to hit the road for a half a day of travel, so I'll miss most of the flame wars and hopefully, nice comments... :)
(I got up to check email before packing up the car... and say I'd been picked.)

Where it went up in October and got a few hits. :)
It'll be interesting to see how things looks by the time I get off the road from my trip. Elfwood comments can be strange...

It seems to be going fairly kind on me.
I did have two people who felt the need to point out that they didn't like Poser art, but they were otherwise positive.
It may have helped that as soon as I found out I was selected, I posted a few more details about my process in a reply - that seems to have helped preemptively deflect some of the things that happen at times on Elfwood.
