white line is on the texture to prevent seams and it looks like the white area is a couple of pixels too large, maybe...easiest way to find out would be to throw another v4 texture on her, keeping the same pose and lights and see if it goes away...if it does, it is the texture, if not...well, then its not, lol

I haven't noticed this on Pascal but I have noticed it cropping up on the Domino outfit and it shows in our render too.
rocker333 posted Sat, 30 December 2006 at 11:34 AM
I will try her with another outfit, althought right now she doesn't have a closet full of clothes............ha ha...............

looks like texture filtering.
if your in p5 or 6 turn it off in the render settings
if your in P7 you'll have to go into the material settings and turn it off (in each material zone)
i believe there is a python script around here somewhere to turn p7 texture filtering off in mass.

So I should turn off texture filtering, I am using Poser 6...........I also will try rendering her without clothes, and see if that does it.......thanks so much for the suggestions, I appreciate it!
Tyger_purr posted Sat, 30 December 2006 at 11:55 AM
yes, try without texture filtering.
it was a common problem in P6.
I haven't seen it happen in p7's texture filtering yet but i was trying to cover all the bases

Have you tried increasing the texture resolution in your render settings?
Sometimes that can help.

There is no "Maximum texture size" setting in P7.
Due to the new texture paging code, this setting is no longer needed.

I know, but they're using Poser 6 , which is why I suggested it :)
rocker333 posted Sat, 30 December 2006 at 5:04 PM
Yes, tried that too. And all suggestions are appreciated, and you all have been great to give me tips and suggestions. :-) Thanks!

The easiest way to solve roblimatic seams such as this is to clamp the texture
In the material room there is a option under image_mapped:
off
tile
clamped
alpha
the clamped samples the colour from the edge and fills hte white.

No texture sold in our marketplace should have seams.
I have just downloaded this pack to check it and cannot reproduce the problem.
Can you give us a screenshot of your material settings please?

I will, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, I work nights, and have to leave shortly.......The maker of Pascale sent me the lights she used in the promo pics, so I will try and see if that helps. :-)
