After saving for 3 years, I finally bought myself a new dual-processor pc with 2 gigs of memory.
I've been very busy for two weeks transferring my applications and settings to the new computer.
I'm finally to the point to start installing my Poser programs. Although I have P1, P3, P5, P6, and now P7, I want to have P4/PP available on my new system.
Problem; I can't find my ProPak install disk anywhere! It's missing from the disk binder that I keep all my installation CD's in (only one missing, that I can see, other than the Poser2 disks). I do have the P4 disks, as well as all the other versions.
Does anyone know if I can just install P4, and then copy over the app files, plugins, etc. from the folders in my old computer?
Haven't tried contacting eFrontier, yet, but I thought perhaps someone here had tried it already, and i could save some time.
btw - I do have my serial numbers for all the versions, going back to version 1 - no warez involved.
Any hints or suggestions appreciated.
Jerry

P4 and the ProPack are no longer supported by e-Frontier, they don't even offer P4 for sale any longer. I've uninstalled P4 from my system as all of my products will now only be supported for P5 and above.

"Does anyone know if I can just install P4, and then copy over the app files, plugins, etc. from the folders in my old computer?"...
When I couldn't find my ProPack disk to install on a new hard drive, I did just what you suggested and everything worked just find (even found my ProPack disk later).
Note: I did copy EVERYTHING in the program folder over.
Have fun,
SWAMP

That's good to hear - Thank you SWAMP.
. . . and thank you for the info, Victoria, I was pretty sure that was the case.

I am glad you found your answer, I still use Poser 4 and Pro Pack, plus P6 and P7....I will for a while yet because our models are made for all Posers, but I am sure that in the near future, due to not support for them from E-F, less will be using the Poser 4's.
