Hey sorry to bug you guys I have goen so far to the dark side now. Playing about with rigging in PMG Messiah and did a few renders of my rigged Troodon. Had some fun with it even did a Kung Fu pose. Anyways still like bryce for some things. (messiah does nto do glass very well nor does it do landscapes) The renders took less than 3 minutes a pop with GI and soft shadows. So I must say I am a true heretic. The wit of a misplaced ex-patriot.

The Kung Fu poses are hysterical.
Could be worse, could be raining.

Wow - great modeling and the poses are excellent. I've been messing around with Wings for a while now and never have made anything even close to the quality of your model!

Thanks. Also thatnks to everyone who left comments. I have no life so I have to be good at wings by now. Wings works really well for organic things. You will need ot play with it a bit and it is a bit of a different workflow than mechanical models but the mirror tool is so good that it gets used a lot for organic stuff by even Maya users. The model is also subdivided again in Messiah. The poses were fun I am trying to get to the point where I can do some animation also which is harder than you think.
About Messiah basic rigging is very easy in it. I tried and failed in poser bu tin Messiah I made skeletons with as many as 80 bones that work. I am in the process of learnign new tricks like poses and armatures to get to where I can do some decent animation. From what I know now I think If I wanted to make easy animations I would do fish. Messiah is a very godo orgaic renderer too it does SSS fast and well. Took me a bit of work to get used to it. Anyways still will use bryce for landscapes and stuff.

May this be a warning to all of you that the darkside is not a place to be tampered with. Before you know it you will shun Bryce and never return.
Probably best not to read threads like this either...oops...too late......

Come to that dark side.....You know you want to. We have Global illumination, Subsurface scattering, Frensel shading and more.
All that said I wish I could have some of Bryce's funtionality put into Messiah. Landscape tools trees and skies well that would rock. Particularly when you find out how amazingly fast messiah's renderer is. Those 4 frames rendered at 800x600 with soft shadows and global illumination took 2and half minutes each. Remeber Vue is the real darkside. The rest are just shades of grey.
