Subject: Bryce texture errors...

Here's an interesting problem.  While working on a scene, I imported several characters from Poser and discovered an odd texture error on a hair object.  When viewed in Bryce, the texture shows several square edges which did not exist in Poser.

I've attached my material and render settings, as well as a render from both Poser and Bryce.  The hair model in question is a transparency mapped object by Kozaburo.

Anybody have any ideas as to what's causing this?  Is there any more information that could help figure this out?

Edit: In case it matters, I'm using Bryce 6 and Poser 4.

Try and take ambience to zero.....   it looks like the 2d surfaces of the hairs are not as transparent as they ought to be...   just a guess...  sorry if no dice...

Hm...  Nope, setting diffusion to 100 and ambience to 0 did not solve the problem.  Thanks for the guess, though.

I think I found a solution.

I selected the mesh, clicked 'E' (Edit Object), and then clicked the "smooth" sphere.  This appears to have solved the problem.  Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't appear to cover this feature, so I'm not certain precisely what it does.
