I have found a poser 7 uninstall "glitch".
Be warned if you do an uninstall on Poser 7 it doesn't just remove the installed content like the old versions, it wipes the runtime folder and all custom content is deleted. I am in the process of reinstalling everything I have purchased for poser in the past 5 years. I have always forwared my runtime contents so I wouldn't have to do this.
If you are going to do a Uninstall of Poser 7 for any reason BACK UP YOUR RUNTIME FOLDERS. The most important are the Geometries, Libraries, Textures and any "Morph" folders.
I do have a back up of mine but it is 18 months old. Since My runtime is 20 gig I don't back it up too often. What realy sucks is I was going to do a new back up of it but figured I'd do it after getting everything running fine.
PS if You have the Miki "Head Room" installer it only works with poser 6 if you install into Poser 7 it will not work anymore...that is why I was reinstalling.

Ahhhh ... yet another reason to use external runtimes. This is the precise reason I don't keep anything in the Poser runtimes except native content. If I have to uninstall, I won't lose any custom content since I automatically unload my external runtimes prior to closing any way.

Thanks for informing us of this 'feature'. I can see another reason for external runtimes :)

Just checking something here.. don;t we have to keep all the main characters inj/del morphs in the main runtime?? I have external runtimes set up but keep these files here.

It's been an ongoing dispute about where to keep the main character files. When I used P4 it was required because P4 didn't recognize external runtimes.
When P5 came out I still had to keep the main character files in the Poser Runtime or Downloads runtime because P5 was slooooooooowwwwwww loading the morphs.
When I got P6, and this is only my experience, I didn't need to have the characters in the main Poser folders and moved the installation out to the external runtime and it all worked just fine. Same with P7.
Some people had problems in P6 with the character deltas if they weren't in the main content folders but I never did.

I normaly just dump everhting in the main runtime. I like using the the Sub folders to organize everthing by character and creator...but that is just me. This was not a problem in poser 5 or 6 but in 7 you need to do a back up before an uninstall. with 5 and 6 you didn't need to bother as custom content was not touched by an uninstall. Still not a huge problem as long as you know you need to do it.
