I bought p7 when in yank land as needed it for some bit's and render higher than 6, didn't mind other bugs as have 5 and 6 and work thier.
But how bloody stupid are these people as if you use the camera option to change textures on various stuuf, p7 renders white, so the idiot's didnt take in to account that a lot of people put texture changes under camera option.
So it makes my poser style and other product's useles.

Try applying them in the material room and then saving the pose. I haven't seen anyone do this since P4 because it was a way to keep the runtime textures folder from getting too bloated. The mat room is the place to apply the textures. Or, you can move the .cm2 files into a pose folder and change the extensions to .pz2 and you'll be good.
This may be a little more work but it saves your poserstyle textures for you, thus not useless.

Maybe you should rather complain to those who put the files where they don't belong instead of calling eFrontier idiots. They did not put your files into the camera folder!

I thought Camera files were simply to save camera positions and settings in regards to certain scenery? Since when was it used as a material settings?

I can quite understand how you feel about poser 7 letting you down in some way or another but calm down jugoth, there are obviously some bugs and problems with it right now and these will almost certainly be sorted out in a future service release.
As somebody suggested in another thread a week or so ago, why not use Poser 7 to get a feel of what it does and to familiarise yourself with it but stay with poser 5 or 6 to do your main work until an SR1 for poser 7 arrives that's what I am doing.

Ah you see
people with poser 4 who did characters to save filling up the pose folder used the camera folder, as thier is a hell of a lot of old characters and prop's need it.
P4 and 5 and 6 could texture say a coat from the camera folder but not 7, now as you say is that a bug or is it a case of not testing the program.
Or the usual thing of the software houses to realese then let the punters test, now what they should do is realese poser 4 and pro pack free so that people with poser 7.
Can do scenes in it and save then import into 7 as i use 5 and 6 to do a scene then import into 7 to use the morph tool then render.
But should be interesting to see whan patch comes out, as i have watched the bugs in action and a freebie poser 4 for 7 owners would be nice.

Since e-Frontier will no longer be supporting P4 or P5, waiting for a P4 free for P7 owners is a needless waste of time. The only time I ever saw this (saving MAT pose files to the camera folder) was in P4 because with the advent of P5 external runtimes became available, allowing the user to set up extra folders. This is one reason e-Frontier GAVE AWAY P5 when P7 was on the way.
Again, the easiest way to keep those pose files is to move them to a folder in the Pose library, making sure the paths to the textures remain correct, and then just change the extensions from .cm2 to .pz2.
This is NOT a render or P7 bug as the Camera folder was NEVER intended to house pose files, not even in P4. This was a workaround by some (not all) Poser artists using P4 and trying to keep the Pose folder under control. Now that P4 is no longer available in any form (including the ProPack), deal with it and try something someone offers as advice in order to keep the pose files you don't want to lose.

Also remember that MAT poses were a very convenient hack.
They aren't (and never were) officially supported, and some variations in the way they're constructed may cause odd things to happen with newer versions of Poser.
Material collections (the official equivalent of MAT poses) be came available in P6.

Hi victoria
I took account of what you said earlier and have working and another way, why im saying if they have left it out and it's not a bug why.
Its worked in 5 and 6 and they seem to forget something as thier are a lot of people out thier, who need be shown how to fix something.
I and another mate usualy fix peoples comp probs as 80% i can do to fix comp, or i have to show 1 freind how to do various bit's on his comp.
Software houses have to remember thier are peep's out thier who cant do fixes of thier program, as on old computers.
At our roleplay club years ago we had 1 handicap player, and 1 with epelepsy, he could use comp for little bit and had fav game.
Because of explosion's in game he could not play to long so 1 of our players brother hacked the game and modified explosion's so he could play game longer.
And for both those players i painted 2 warhamer armies for them to use as a favour, and software houses should realise they should take account of everyone who buy's a game or program.
But i look forward to 1st patch see what it does.

I guess that camera files only work for cameras now is because e-frontier needed to add some file preprocessing now that you can add your own cameras in Poser 7. So pose files in the camera folder probably will never work again (and there's no reason for that anyway ;-)).
