Any place to download it? Didn't find anything on the site. If you bought the download do you get a manual?

yes on both P7 and Ph. What I understand is that later I can buy a print (real) P7 manual from CP

Couldn't find any downloads for P7 under resources. Only up to p6. Where did you get your manual?
Thanks

Mine came with P7 when I bought it. But I think CP will sell them later once P7 has been out. You could try bit.

Thought there might be a pdf I could download. Think this is my last poser purchase.

The file should be installed with Poser 7- have you tried the link on the help menu? You can find it from the start menu as well (windows version)  - Poser Reference Manual.

so I reckon this means one can't download Poser 7 from e-frontier without getting the manual as part of the zip file, or conversely that they haven't set up a link to download only the manual. that might be to avoid enabling warez d00dz, who might have uploaded P7 to the usual place and omitted the manual to save bandwidth.

Indeed - the manual and tutorial manual are part of the zip file, and install with it. Having said that, I'm sure it will eventually appear on the e-frontier web site - the Shade 8 manual is on there,.

I love poser, but the manual is not as thorough as I had hoped.  For example, in the P7 manual there's barely any description of how to use the DOF tool (circular guides on the screen to define sharp and blur areas).  I had to do some searching to get a handle of how to use this tool (which is quite handy).

Can someone suggest a definitive guide?

Great ref sites, dudes, but I should have elaborated that I am looking for a "bible" on poser 7.  Sorry to sound so stupid.
