Just bought Carrara because of the super deal over at Daz, but since I work alot with importing models from D|S to Bryce usually, I wanted to know if there is a way to get models fully textured from D|S to Carrara. I know you can do it with Poser using the Transposer plug-in, but I don't use Poser.

Any tips anyone?

As .obj files.

Thanks bwtr, but .obj file (and cr2) are not listed in the drop down list of importable files when I use 'Import'. So at the moment I cannot import V3,M3 or .obj files. Any suggestions?

.obj files import into both Standard and Pro versions of Carrara.
If you -as it seems-have Basic, upgrade NOW while the prices are cryingly cheap!

The .obj files are listed as "Wavefront" who were the folks that invented the .obj format.

Mark, oddly, Carrara Basics2 does not list for open or import .obj(wavefront) files! They being the only file type exportable from DAZ Studio!

Very odd!

Yes, I checked back on the Daz site - the product information does not list .obj files at all as importable files. If I would have read this thoroughly first I might not have bought it!

Ahhhhhh, Carrara Basics. I missed that somewhere. That's a problem then. I was under the impression that Transposer didn't work with Basics either but I might be wrong on that account. :-/
