That is a heck of an offer. I bought Carrara5 standard when it was 149.99 on a special deal and I thought that was good! If i hadn't bought it then I'd be jumping on it now.

One of the things that I love about Carrara5 is the use of instances. I used several surface replicators and loaded them with various trees, shrubs, weeds and rocks and they populated my landscape with many thousands of copies instantly! You have to try it to believe how cool it is.

If Bryster isn't peeking, I'll admit to getting the C5 pro. It will be many weeks before I install it. I've got a perplexing but not fatal bug in my 'puter that will take a complete rebuild to solve. I am holding off on that task to install a bigger HD at the same time. It's several paydays away.

I would like that C5 pro too. Seems like it would be a good compliment to Poser and Hex.

A warning. Once you get hooked on Carrara 5, you will never go back. I bought and installed and even rendered a few things with Bryce 6, but since I've had Carrara, nothing seems as sweet.
Much as I love Bryce, and promised that I wouldn't never let it go, I can't help but hear Carrara chomping at the bit, promising me better renders in a fraction of the render time.
I fear that I've lost my grip on Bryce and I'm watching it slowly fade into the dark reaches of my hard drive until I can barely remember it was there at all.
Anyway, that's it. I'm going back to my latest Carrara picture.

I got the Carrara 3D Basics deal, but it only cost me $1.30!!! Wouldn't have got it, but I could not afford Carrara Pro 5 when it was last offered, so...
