Hi! I was asking before about a Daz3d add on to Poser 7.
I have the M3 character and its face and body morphs wich is said to be required for the bodysuit to work, but still when I try to add the chosen bodysuit to the character the computer seems to be prosessing something for a while, but M3 stays the same... No sexy bodysuit on him:(
Arcadia sent me a really good mail that heped me to understand the Poser better, but my problem with the bodysuit remains. Could it have something to do with the Poser version Im using (poser 7), or the !MAT files or... Could there be some add-on im missing or a setting that is wrong.
Thanks again Arcadia for the nice reply:)

I wonder if you are loadin gthe bodysuit, or trying to apply one of the bodysuit's textures to the M3 model?
What, exactly, are you clicking on? Is it in the Figures section of the library, or the Pose section of the library?

Here are the steps that I use to load the David bodysuit in Poser 6. I've used Michael's name in the explanation below, but I think that these steps will work for any of DAZ's figures. You can use them for any type of conforming clothing.
I don't have Poser 7, but I would imagine that the steps are the same (a Poser 7 user can correct me if I'm wrong):
1. Load Michael into the scene.
2. Find the bodysuit in the Figures library. It should be in the Michael Morphing Clothing folder.
3. To load the bodysuit into the scene, you can either
(a) click on the bodysuit thumbnail once to highlight its picture; then click on the "create new
figure" button on the bottom of the library palette. The button should have two
checkmarks on it. This will load the bodysuit into the scene. It may be hard to see parts
of the bodysuit at first because it's taking up the same space as the Michael figure or has
loaded slightly behind it.
(b) double click on the picture of the suit.
4. If you want the bodysuit to fit onto Michael, select the bodysuit by clicking on it. Then click on
the word "figure" on the menu at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears below the
word "figure," go down to the words "conform to. . ." A pop-up menu should appear. Make
sure that "Figure 1" (or whatever you called Michael) is selected. The bodysuit should then
drape itself over Michael. You can also set Michael's pose first and then use the "conform
to. . ." command.
5. If you want the bodysuit to have a certain preset design or texture, then make sure that it is
selected by using the drop-down menu above the preview window (it should have Figure
1 or some other name with an upside down triangle beside it). Select the pose tab in the
library palette on the right. Then find the !MAT Michael Bodysuit folder and enter it. When
you have found the picture of the style you want the bodysuit to have, click on the picture
once. Then click the "apply library preset" button below. The suit should then take on the
right appearance.
I hope this helps. I'm a fairly new user of Poser as well, so I can understand your frustration.

Hey guys! Thanks for trying to help:)
The bodysuits ate seme kind of !MAT files... If I understand thats right the bodysuit is not a prop, the !MAT file just changes the surface teksture of the character skin itself. These files automatically loaded themselves to the pose folder when I run the installation.
could it be that im missing some morphs or something.
SOme info on the item itsel is here on Das3d webpage

Thanks again

I'm afraid your'e going to have to shell out just alittle more money - the budysuit is actually another productfrom DAZ, a kind of second skin thing to go over michael 3's body. The reason nothing is hapening when you click on the MAT file is that Poser starts loking for the approproate material zone reference on the selected figure (in your case, Michael), and then kind of gets frozen in a loop trying to decide what to do when they're not there. From my experience of accidentally doing this, it does come back from the grave after a while, but there's everychance that new material zones (which won't actually do anything!) will be added to you michael figure as a result.

Thanks:) So what is it that i have to have or purchase to get it to work? Or is there an alternative bodysuit somewhere... I just love the shiny latex type surface on this one...

You have to load Michael 3 and his Bodysuit into the scene (exactly the way ezuk is writing in the post above - very good walkthrough). The MATs that you are trying to apply to Michael are supposed to go to the bodysuit, so you have to choose the bodysuit in the scene (not Mike) before applying the MAT poses from the folder :) Michal 4blueyes
