This is my P6 V3.PZ3 Character Study scene, as opened in P7?

I thought I read about V3, and an incompatibility with P7 External Morphs, but could'nt find the thread?

Angelouscuitry posted Tue, 23 January 2007 at 5:27 PM

The scene in the image above is about 269MBs.  It contains all of the Daz3D V3 INJs, a few other MTs, about 100 of my Magnets, and Wymmaster's Remotes.

This image is my P6 V3 Print .PZ3 as opened in P7.

The difference between the two scenes is that all of the Morphs, Magnets, and Remotes of the Character Study have been have been combined and exported into a single MT.OBJs, for each part.  Then all of the origional Morphs, Magnets, and Remotes were deleted; and the .OBJs were imported.  This second scene is about 14MBs.

I wonder why the smaller scene is not displaying the same distortion as the larger when opened in P7?

Might be a problem with the magnets (double feeding perhaps ?).
Try dialing them down to 0 or deleting them once you've loaded the scene in P7.

Thanks, nruddock!

What is Double Feeding?

I deleted all of the Magents, but they were'nt the cause.

Apparently The Wymmaster Dynamic Deformer's Remotes are'nt being welcomed into P7; when I removed them I got the image above.

Any ideas?

As far as I know Poser ca'nt create these.  I wonder where Wymmaster got them, and why he went with remotes, over magnets.

The remotes just provide dials to control the magnets for easier usage.

I have the same problem with Wyrm's deformers when trying to load a pz3 from P6 into P7.
I can't get the deformers to work at all in P7 ( from an external runtime)   :(

nruddock posted Wed, 24 January 2007 at 12:11 PM

I'll look into what the problem might be.
The remotes make use of ERC so the problem may have a similar cause to the problem with V4 and binary morphs.

"Double Feeding" is the term for a magnet that's ended up affecting the same body part twice.

Dizzi posted Wed, 24 January 2007 at 12:21 PM

The Millenium Deformers work the same in P7 as in P5/6 for me. PMDs on or off doesn't make any difference.

Angelouscuitry posted Wed, 24 January 2007 at 1:36 PM

Thanks, nruddock, I really appreciate your concern!**

**MaskimXul, Dizzi - So, you guys are both O.K. from the main Poser Runtimel; is the whole scene there or just the Remotes' stuff?   Hopefully I wo'nt need to change all of the references in the scene to the Main Runtime.  I'm going to extract the Mil' Dyn' Defs' again and see what needs to be moved.  Else, this will be a pain, because my main runtime was meant to be on a RAID-1 drive, rather RAID-0...Phooey.

Dizzi posted Wed, 24 January 2007 at 1:46 PM

It's an external runtime, but that shouldn't make any difference anyway, as the only references are to standard Poser props...

Angelouscuitry posted Wed, 24 January 2007 at 3:09 PM

Dizzi - Where is V3's Geometry file(blMilWom_v3.OBJ) referenced; do you have any textures applied to her?

Dizzi posted Thu, 25 January 2007 at 2:16 AM

Everything's in the external runtime and it doesn't matter if textured or not... I'd suggest to just try the "double feed fix" pose on the figure itself.

*"I'd suggest to just try the "double feed fix" pose on the figure itself."

*What Double Feed Fix Pose; nruddock mentioned Double Feeding, but until now there has been no reference to any pose file?

Thanks ahead of time!

Dizzi posted Thu, 25 January 2007 at 11:44 AM

The double feed fix pose should be with the other poses (magnetize, x-lock,...)

Angelouscuitry posted Thu, 25 January 2007 at 10:38 PM

Is it a Victoria 4, or a Poser 7 file?  I searched both directories for "Double Feed Fix," with Windows Explorer, but came up empty?

MaskimXul posted Fri, 26 January 2007 at 8:42 AM

I've installed the deformers into P7 with the same results, I wonder now if it's V3 being in another runtime causing the problem? Angelouscuitry, the Double Feed Fix is in the Wyrmmaster Tools folder (see attached pic) But, it really dosen't solve anything, it just zeros the figure and the deformers can't be adjusted.

Angelouscuitry posted Fri, 26 January 2007 at 9:25 AM

MaskimXul - Dizzi says she's got all her stuff in an external runtime...

Dizzi posted Fri, 26 January 2007 at 12:32 PM

Maybe we got a different version of the deformers, as I don't have an X-Lock Off ;-)

I finally took the P7 plunge this week.  When I load figures created with Wyrmmaster's "Millennium Dynamic Deformers" set (sold by DAZ) in P6, I get the same bizarre results that the original poster did.  I'm searching the forums for clues, looking for a way to fix this.  Did anyone ever figure this out?

Angelouscuitry posted Fri, 20 April 2007 at 3:49 PM

My Print, 12MB vs 250MB, V3.PZ3 works fine.  I forgot I did manage to export V3 MT.OBJs, with Wyrmaster remotes active.  You need to open the .PZ3, in P6 or before, and export an .OBJ for each part.  Be sure to only check the As Morph Target in the Export Options.  Then load a blank V3.CR2, and Load each .OBJ, back into each part, part by part.(Do'nt try this with P7 either.)  Make Sure all of the MTs are at 0 and then set, only, all of the new MTs to 1.

Someone also mentioned redownloading the install.exe, from Daz.  I need to try this, and am interested in knowing how it would work out too?
