The theme for February is "One for the Road"

I think there are plenty of ways one could express this phrase...

Here's a Blurstraction taken last night while I waited at a traffic light. One vehicle on the road. Or perhaps "one too many" on my part before hitting the road? *just kidding* **;'P**

Note the heat distortion coming up off the road in the distance. You may need to zoom in. Okay Valou...let's see what you've got! :)

Ok, here we go!!! :) To start, a road to Jail .. Not kidding, this beautiful building is a Court House and Jail in Golden Colorado!

kurtsart posted Sun, 04 February 2007 at 5:26 PM

Now for some go fast :)  A combo of my work along with renowned panoramic photographer/schoolmate Tony Eitzle  .. It was a result of some of these collaborations that got both of us commissioned to shoot the Grand Prix here .. What a blast!  This was a "shared" commission shoot, meaning we were working for multiple sponsors including Patron, Belvedere, Pacificare etc.

This first was for Patron :) The night shot and the car shot by moi :)
Cheers,
Kurt

This one for Pacificare. A combo of my car shot with one of Tony's amazing panoramics :)

kurtsart posted Sun, 04 February 2007 at 5:37 PM

This is based on 2 of my panoramics (I should mention, we were armed and dangerous for this 5 day shoot lol. Tony and I both had Fuji 6x7 Panoramic Med Format cams, 1 Fuji S-3 Pro Digital, Qty 1 Pentax 6x7 Med Format,  Qty 1 Nikon F-1, and A Dimage D-200 ... We were extremely tired and sore after the 5th day hauling all that gear around lol :)

Great images one and all. Yes Valou, I do loose. ;'] There is not image limit for uploads this month for this contest, but please be sensible when uploading. Don't go overboard and if one image looks much like the last one, then perhaps it is best not to load it. Pick your best ... the goal is quality, not quantity. Remeber that some people are trying to view these threads on dial up and the more images in a thread, the harder the Renderosity servers have to work.

This one is for the road you don't want to be part of...a parking lot full of police cruisers. There were 5, blocking access and exits.  Does Your driving make this happen? : )  How often?  : )

Actually, a domestic violance thing was unfortunately happening a few doors down. All the police and the  "suspected culprit"  were there.  I did not take that picture.  Eventually, all calmed down and was defused. Then one police car received a call and went off with lights flashing and siren sounding.   One for "just off the road", perhaps.

Horse & buggy for the road...

It's okay Valou, we weren't very clear about that, it is the staff's fault. You posted some terrific road images, really! Sad scene there Tom...seen it before unfortunately. Neat buggy shot Akemi, the horse sure has muscular legs from all of that pulling!

We got snow today..a tiny bit, not as in past years..no credit to Al Gore and global warming.  This shot is from my chair in the driveway, about 9:30pm.  Light is from a streetlamp.

The snow is very thin and wet...but in front of this home is the one place it sticks well and gets slick.  So, one for the road tomorrow morning when we head out..that is what this is.
