Looks like someone has been playing with the style sheet settings again. This morning, everything was working like I had it..full screen. This even when I came here, it's totally screwed and everything I have tried to fix it doesn't work.

I need to know what needs to be added or corrected in the style sheet so I can get full screen again for the forums. By the way, the gallery looks the same way now. I was going to upload an image to the gallery this evening but not now, not with it looking like this.

By the way, I checked my style sheet in settings and noticed the one I had been using wasn't there any longer...something else was in there.  Someone evidently ran a script to change style sheet settings.

cherokee69 posted Mon, 05 February 2007 at 9:52 PM

Was just thinking about this because I haven't seen anyone else asking about the style sheet changes. Maybe they haven't noticed if they have standard monitors but how about people like mysled with a wide screen monitor. These setting just don't work with them.

Same here. This really sucks. It took me forever to find a style I liked that was posted in the CSS forum, then change the colors to what I liked. Now the archives in the CSS forum are all gone :(

You got that right. I had one that was perfect for me with a wide screen monitor and now it's all screwed but no one seems to be offering any info as to what to change to get that back. I hate this narrow view I have and have been tempted to just not come back here anymore.

Oh the galleries, that's right. Those are messed up too. I was going to upload and image last night until I saw this mess and then decided not to.

Sure, these setting might be OK for people that have a normal style monitor but I bet there are people on here besides myself with wide screen that need help with these stupid setting. I've tried changing some but nothing works.

I know they have screwed with people setting because my original CSS first line read "/* Adapted from pauljs75 and TrekkieGrrrl's css */" but when I took a look at "My forum options" none of that was there.

I have a wide screen monitor and mine doesn't look like that?

What I need to know is what is controlling the width of the forum area and the width of the gallery thumbnail area. I've got everything else setup like it was except those to areas.

what bugs me is no one from management is saying anything!

Nope, none of them have offered any help. Things sure have changed around here haven't they. Use to be this thing called caring. I think it's become taboo around here.

Hi there,

My page looks very similar to **cherokee69

**I added the width change (in red) to the "table" tag in my css as per below;

This tag was the 2nd from the top in my style sheet.

Seems to fix the problem - however it does spread out the top menu on the page - but hey, small price to pay until a real CSS guru comes up with a fix  :o)

Made the change to both the Gallery & Forum CSS - works for both.

THE CHANGE;

table {
font-size: 12px;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color: #A7A7A7;
width:100%;
}

Hope it helps - sorry its not perfect...

Cheers
Rick.

now...why did it change!?

That helped me too. Thanks .

as to why it changed, we'll probably never find out why.

Sorry gang for not getting in here..some of the staff are out sick with that horrid stomach bug :sad: Im glad you found a fix tho, and Im not sure where this CSS issue came from, to my knowledge there hasn't been any work on the CSS..but I will let the programmers know about it.
