love that roped walkway, and the coiled rope is very nice too!!!
I've noticed that quite a bit down at the marina, when they tie up the boat, the end is always coiled like that. excellent shots!!

It is a handy and strong rope for rope confidence courses, hanging stuff and pulling down trees...and of course, mountain rescue.

I stand corrected. The traditional noose has 8 loops. The hangmans noose does not tighten on the neck and is supposed to break the neck and not strangle. The knot is also handy for tying various forms of fishing line needing a loop. There you have it on this one!

Talking of old rope (Some nice shots so far) have you tried looking for "old rope" on Ebay? Try it, do a search, its surprising what some people flog.....you might make a bob or two with this lot newleaf! Funny how emotive the hangmans rope is, its scary just looking at a picture of it.
