Has anyone had any luck with creating a tire shader? I just can't seem to get what I want, either it looks rubbery but too gray, or black (usually too black) but too solid. I'm trying to get that showroom tire look.

Sellect the right shade of Gray. For Colour and Highlight. Set shinyness for value BUT 0%!!! All the rest at none.  Hope that helps.

Here's one of the tires from the [Ambulance](http://www.thefleafilm.co.uk/Gallery.php?Pic=13) in my Flea Circus.

Attached link of a .car file to download.

Attached Link: Corrected .CAR link

I knew that I could not post .car files directly so I'd uploaded it to one of my websites. But I'd posted the file a different server to what I thought.

Pardon my asking, but how does this work exactly? Should I copy the file into a text editor like notepad and then change the extension from .txt to .car?

bwtr posted Tue, 20 February 2007 at 2:51 AM

The new link downloads a .car file ok for me.  But Andy did not save the .car file with the necessary imagery.

Andy can you correct this please?

Ah yes, you want me to embed the two images into the file. I'll get on to that when I'm back home this evening.

New link at TheFleaFilm AmbulanceTire.car with internal resources.

Just returning some of the help given me when I started. I enjoy problem solving because I learn a lot from it.
