OK, I know it's not totally free because you have to buy the magazine, but this is a heads-up that the latest issue of 3D World (issue 89) includes Pretty3D's 'Breezy' outfit on the CD, as well as nine full animal products from Content Paradise, and furniture for your Poser scenes from Vismasters.

Do you know which animals they are?
dt00swc posted Tue, 27 February 2007 at 3:21 AM
uh, labrador dog, a female deer, a brilliant mammoth (with seperate fur body), a triceratops and spinosaurus, and loads of other 'extinct' species.

Hmm! I have most of those animals because CP did them for free a while back but that outfit looks good and with the exchange rate it would cost me about £8.50 here so the magazine would give me that at a discounted price so prolly still worth getting!!
Thanx!

no worries, to improve the info from my original post, there's also this stuff on the 3DWorld CD:

I should also mention, there's info on what's going on next months' 3D World CD here:

There is either something wrong with your issue numbers or you subscribe to the magazine, because the last issue I bought is number 87 and that was only a few weeks ago.
dt00swc posted Fri, 02 March 2007 at 6:14 AM
Not a subscriber - issue 89 is out in the shops now (in the UK - it'll be a few weeks before they come out in the US), and issue 90 has just gone for production.
If you're in the US or Australia or Canada, you'll be a few issues behind I guess.
The issue with the pretty3D stuff (#89) is the one with the baboon on the front. Issue #88 has nothing decent on the CD - that's the one with the white sci-fi figure on the front, and issue 87, well blimey, that was ages ago. Probably has Oliver Cromwell on the front.

I just bought issue 89 from Tesco (I didn't want their petrol, LOL) - it's worth mentioning that the Pretty 3D stuff isn't mentioned on the magazine cover, you have to look inside to see the full list. Thanks for the alert, dt00swc, I probably wouldn't have bothered buying it. Just goes to show you (altogether now) shouldn't judge a magazine by its cover! :)

If you have a program that uses hdri files, the maya version of the greenfrog has a hdri file with it, but it wont work in bryce `til you convert it.

There's some good stuff in the articles on such things as rigging animals and making fur--not Poser-specific but things like using dynamic hair methods. (That's the 5th DVD of Poser data burned.)
