I hope I'm not going over old ground here but has anyone in this forum got a fix for this problem?
I know that background images render Ok with Firefly but I don't always want to use that renderer.
With Poser6 there was no problem with rendering the Background picture under the P4 renderer, but with Poser7 there is. It just don't work!!
If I'm compositing a 3d scene using Poser7 it's sometimes a lot quicker to preview both the perspective outcome and the shadow fall by using the P4 renderer.
However this is not possible with P7 even after the update.
Grrr..it sure slows down all the experimenting..Firefly is so much better quality wise but also a lot slower than the quick and dirty P4 renderer.
Any help out there..?
Thanks

This subject was covered recently and I gave a work around for the problem.
You can find it here: www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?message_id=2873357
The solution is in about post 15 of the above thread by the way.
The main thing is to.... switch off show background image prior to rendering.
Hope this helps.

yvonnesnet contacted EF and reported this problem and they replied they would try and fix it for SR1. I don't know if they did or not as I haven't tried it since installing SR1.
PS. Just tried it and the problem is still there. You still have to... switch OFF Show Background Picture under dispaly properties before rendering. You lose the pic in preview window... but it does render okay.

I humbly thank you very, very much and have smacked myself for not
properly doing a search on this subject.
Once again, ziggie, thanks.
