I finished my little friend Chimpy. He's in beta-testing-stage now and contains several fur-versions, expressions, a lot of headmorphs to make your own expressions/looks and 17 poses and 17 handposes...

Yes, several versions with dynamic hair, one with painted skin that is easy to smudge out a little in Photoshop  and one with only procedural "fur"-texture and no hair on it.

It's something of a "running gag" at the DAZ forums.  One of its members, IgoHigh, has been obsessing for textures that will convert the SilverKey Monkey into an "Undead Pirate" monkey.  I'm guessing he was inspired by a comic relief character from the recent "Pirates of the Caribbean" flicks; but I'm not sure as I have not seen them.

Chimpy was pretested by myself on 2 computers and my laptop and by 4 peoples before I sent it to the store. Also there he's pretested and I got the message that I needed to write in the readme with the exact words: All of the content in this package was created by ariaans/S. Ariaans (www.samiranet.nl) 

So I did and loaded him up again. It writes pending now again, but I hope he'll be in the store soon now : ).

This is the other reason, beside cpu and memory-saving and variation, that I made different fur-versions from Chimpy: I wanted to use dynamic clothing on him and add later only the fur most needed. To show you I used the suit from James.

The Suit was conforming, so I scaled it around Chimpy (without hair) first and took care of not touching him somewhere around his body. Then I exported the suit with "seams welded" to make the suit to 1 prop and imported it again. Then I clothified the suit and with "constrained vertices" I took care of it that the buttons stayed in place. The pose was set on frame 15 and after calculating the dynamics I replaced Chimpy without fur by Chimpy with little fur and deleted the hair that poked through the suit.

The Free Dynamic Undershirt for Chimpy can be downloaded from the Free Stuff here at Renderosity now! 

I precalculated the dynamics for all the standard poses that came with Chimpy and made morph-dials for them.

Userstips are included in the readme. It has Chimpy written on it, but it's UVMapped and you can use any (tiled) texture you like or make your own with the UVTemp-file. All the seams can be colored differently  if you like.
