Attached Link: Buck Rogers Starfighter
Now available for downloading at Vanishing Point- *Buck Rogers* [Starfighter](http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/freestuff.asp?StartNo=384). Includes two poses for hiding and showing the landing gear and templates to make your own textures. The canopy slides forward using an ERC dial on the BODY part of the model. Made entirely of 3 and 4-point polygons and with approximately 18,000 polygons. This is the one-person version of the Starfighter. There are at least two other versions seen in the TV show: one with a pilot and navigator (seated directly behind the pilot) and a "double-wide" version (where the navigator sits next to the pilot, with passengers seated behind them).

Dang, you beat me to it! Viper because of the two "fangs" projecting forward.
If the bottom wings folded up, I'd have like it better. As it is--never make a belly landing in it!
Looks better than the Vente-cheapo model used in the show (and lame movie).

Oooh! I had the toy version of this as a kid (and probably too big a kid to be playing with toy starfighters.)
Of course, now I'm grown up and I'll be playing with it again, so... meh.
I'd never heard about the Colonial Viper tie-in before. As I recall John Dykstra did the FX for BG. Did he do them for Buck Rogers as well?
And BTW - whoever said that Erin Gray looked better in the season two miniskirt than in her skintight green spandex bodysuit is WRONG.... JUST WRONG!

*"probably too big a kid to be playing with toy starfighters"
*You''re never too told old to play with toys - the only difference is our toy is now more expensive and it's called Poser. Though NITWAS probably says what a depraved childhood some of us had :)

mrsparky is right- you're never too old to play with toys.
And in some cases, Poser could actually be cheaper than some "collector's toys". Plus, you don't have to worry about digital models losing their value if you take them out of the case and play with them.
And I'm the one who said Erin Gray looked better in the season 2 miniskirt. That's what made season 2 worth watching. :)
