I could spend hours messing in Vue trying different things blindly ... but hoping someone can give me a directional head start here 8 ) I'm doing a lake scene, quite smooth water but just near the shore I want it to look as if a motor boat had passed by farther out and the boats wake ripples come into the shore ie. long rows of horizontal wavelets rolling in . Other than the ripples the water surface is tranquil. Afraid I don't have a ref image to show so I hope this is a clear enough verbal image. So how best to go about this ? 1st I thought maybe a terrain from a greyscale image I can do in Photoshop with a water tex on it or 2nd- maybe it's to do with procedurals, bumps .... one of those technical aspects of Vue I haven't investigated much yet. or 3rd- some way I don't even suspect yet ? TIA for suggestions. (Oh, and I'm using 6Inf)
