Anyone else having problems with posting their thumbs? I sent one today 15.1kb and normally I am told it is not the right size and one will be made, not today. I tried twice and gave up. Is this a permanent change please?

15.1K is the wrong size for all gallery thumbnails.
Nic aka williamsn told me it is exactly 15K, 15360bytes Max limit.
I use the Options > Run Optimizer function in my postwork program when creating my thumbs to give me the exact bytes. By using Nic's numbers and this process, I have not had a thumbnail refused for size.
Hope this helps.

Thankyou Viking Lady for the helpful information and I shall put your tip into operation.
I know the max size but recently Renderosity has been resizing the thumbs for us if pigeon post increased the size by a few kbs...... now it has stopped and I just wondered why.

Hmm....
May be quicker to post to Community Center forum and reference this thread to have StaceyG or one of the other mods get the answers for you. Nic has been known to peek in there from time to time.

Interesting .. I've had the same problem with much smaller sizes for thumbnails. One was recently resized for me after I put it in at 8. something K!

I did write to The Community Centre forum and Stacy was kind enough to explain things to me. I have no need now to fiddle about making thumbs the right size, I just don't send one:-)
