I'm a vendor as well as a customer, so here's my thoughts :)

I have to agree with Xena on this as I'm a vendor as well as a customer, too.
My current submission took over a month to create and my current wip has been in creation for nearly 5 weeks now, while I fine tune the shader tree and the blending.
She is based on V4 but doesn't look anything like V4 with some custom morphs and extremely hi-res skin textures.
3. DAZ, here and the PoserPros and 3d Commune.
4. Quality, definitely.
5. When things don't look like the promo images (ie - the promos are rendered in a different application and passed off as Poser renders). This really bothers me and is something I would never do.

Thanks, Xena and Victoria_Lee.
What I meant in #3 is where you start looking inside Rendo's Marketplace.
Thanks again.

Most of what I buy and [attempt to] sell is in the realm of architecture
and scenes, so the qualifications are a bit different.
1. Like to see: fully formed rooms, houses or scenes, from
various historical periods.
Tired of: castles, sci-fi stuff
Shop where: 3dcommune then here
Value most: originality. Because I can build most of what I imagine,
I'll pay for something that goes beyond my imagination,
an item that opens new horizons in a literal sense.
Bothers most: Plain OBJ that isn't clearly labeled as such.
I've bought some rather expensive things that turned out to be stiff,
untextured, and unsegmented.

I click What's New in the sidebar. I rarely use the store link.

I agree with ockham.
Furthermore, besides real world sets I also want real world clothing and hair. Fantasy stuff is not hard to create, find or post-work in but accurate real world content is a premium to me... for instance I have yet to see an apartment any one I know could afford but I would have great use for a more realistic apartment of a working person. When I find furniture it is rarely believable, the whimsical designs to not reflect real world designs and sometimes are not even physically possible. Try to create the furnish apartment of someone earning less then USD$80,000 with things available in the shop! I can't do it.
It is nice Poser can make so many people happy with the fantasy stuff but there are people who use it for real world commercial stuff, traditional fine art subjects and toons set in the real world. Myself I use Poser as a proxy to my real world painting and until recently for a good deal of commercial art all of which required real world settings and content even when ultimately resulting in toons.

Young people apartment furnished with Ikea type stuff pmaybe???
LOL, I have models of some of the Ikea modular piecs that I created for myself, in order to lay out my own floorplan! (wannabee interior designer here) lol
There is a whole forum for vendor requests and ideas, but it's not all that busy... Seems to me a lot of people get ideas after cruising the marketplace, perhaps, perhaps???

Thank you for doing this, Deskar! :-)
1.) More stuff for the non-DAZ people (i.e. G2, Apollo). BOY HAIR!!
2.) 50 million Victoria (and to a lesser extent Aiko) clones with 900 makeup and nail options. chainmail bikinis, Storm Trooper bikinis, man dresses.
3.) As for which store order, RDNA, DAZ, here, then maybe 3DC. I almost never go to Poser Pros. When I'm here, I shop by category or by search. I never use the What's Hot thingies.
4.) Craftsmanship, originality.
5.) Missing files would bother me the most. Files wherever the creator felt like sticking them instead of in the proper folders (i.e. they stick all their files in my props library). !!!!! at the beginning of folder names drives me insane, too.
Hope that helps! :-)

This is a very good one for me because I haven't purchased anything from here in a good year or two and nothing under this current username:
2. Clothing with no morphs...I'm lazy, shirts that don't open
3. I always start with what's new
this I called a friend (cruzin) and asked this question the answer: the ability to use an item with another item, mix and match stuff
Again....from the friend (cruzin) nothing

I too am both a vendorand a customer and probably too opinionated for my own good :)
Can't have enough real hair :)
Character clones that have the same vendor resource skin and makeup textures used over and over again.
I'm more inclined to search for what I'm looking for but I do browse the front page of the MP
several times a day just to see what's out there.
Originality and quality, quality, quality and did I mention quality :) Honesty in advertising
the product.
Products that don't install correctly and products that don't live up to the promotional blurb
and images.

I too hate the !!! thing. its amazingly annoying, esp if you have bought as much stuff as me.
I'd like to see some predefined morphs that let me quickly generate a ton of genuinely different characters. My use of poser tneds to mean showing a dozen or mroe images at a time, each of which might be based on the same base model, so truly creative and convincing morphs are what's needed. I just dont have the skills to morph david or michael to look anything like not just david or michael!
