Not dissing anything or anyone, because I haven't actually bought it.. it looks very much like one of the plastic dinos my kids were playing with.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

there was the dedicated digital t-rex, then I think scott a. did one, then e-frontier may have also done one, and there's something that comes with poser. so if somebody wanted all 5, daz's t-rex would complete the set. no, wait - there are also several at the 'squid, one of which (a "subdevidiable polononal model") is available for only $595 u.s.

The typical Digital-I dinos are VERY well done and researched, so I would think this one is too.

I bought Digital's T-Rex model and it's an excellent model. I thought the original texture was a little plasticy (that's not real word is it) but he does sell other textures. I myself made my own texture. For the price Digital's model is a steal.

I downloaded the T-Rex from Content Paradise when it was offered for free... and it's still only $5.99 ($2.99 for Passport members) and the textures are excellent.
Then again, all of e-frontier's dinos are excellent. :)
I hope this thread isn't about this item: T-Rex at DAZ. Are they serious about the $39.95 price?? This version better come with real dino DNA in amber to make it worth that much more than the $5.99 version!

I put the links to both Digital-I's T-Rex and texture pack (I hope I made it click-able). I looked at content paradise's T-Rex; it's great for the price but from what little I saw of it was not realistic as Digital's model.

Digital's T-Rex is great. I bought it and i think it is the best T-Rex for Poser available.

Well... you did ask so here's my opinion; I can't imagine ol' T. Rex pickin' a fight with ya, or hogin' the TV remote with those tiny lil' arms he's got. But ya gotta watch that tail of his as he'll be sweepin' the sodas and popcorn offfa the coffee table!

Comments? Did we really need another T-Rex for Poser?

Yes we did need another T-Rex for Poser. The new one at DAZ beats all the others, especially from front view. There is no comparison. I've tried them all, and this is a godsend. I remember paying twice the price for the first one DAZ offered back around 2001 or something. It wasn't too bad, but the feet were a bit weak, and it didn't look good from a head on view. If I had time I would offer pictorial examples.

i haven't seen this one but i remember that there was a one-eyed dinosaur somewhere,it used to prey on humans, i think it was called a doyathinkhesaurus.
(sorry about that!! i'll just get my coat.)

those tiny arms are precisely what i've seen recent science shows say t-rex has. iirc, its arms are generally smaller than a humans and couldn't in fact reach much of anything with them. i remember because someone in one of the forums had said, even though they were proportionally small, t-rexes had larger arms than arnold schwarzenegger. and in this it said they were significantly smaller than the average man or woman's arms. i wish i could remember the details, but i know it had a whole thing to do with guessing how and what they ate and some such. in any case, until info comes out of the research community, i think the new t-rex is about as accurate as it can be.
