Taking requests for some freebie lip morphs offered as INJ poses for Victoria 4.  I don't promise these will change your life, but I think they'd be fairly simple to do and I don't think you can beat the price.  If anyone (estherau) has specific things they'd like, please try to give me a photo or other graphical reference of some kind.

Some possibilities:

The incomparable Milla Jovovich:

The mighty musclebound lips of Angelina Jolie (a bit intimidating in this image):

Ms. Jolie's lips continue to get more and more barroque.  I think they have their own wiki somewhere out there.

Some distinctive "bow" lips:

I think anything is great with exception of "pouty mouths".  I am not a fan of a character with lips and a mouth so small it looks like she needs to take her meals using a straw...LOL!!!  Actually, I like your three examples myself.

Artsy Fartsy.  Please ignore the horrible materials cockup at the jawline, I've managed to seriously screw my materials because of mixing some various materials setting up.  It's got nothing to do with the morph itself.

Show me a picture and I'll try to make a morph for it.  This isn't really that difficult, and I could bundle several morphs into one set of INJ/REM poses, for free.  This was pretty quick to do, about 30 minutes (it's a very simple morph after all) ... but Sleep -> Work for the next 20 hours or so.

pjz99, lovely work!  Those are very nice lips indeed. The "repaired materials" shot is particularly attractive, very flattering to the morph.

This/these will be offered as a freebie to whoever wants them.  Any other interests or requests?  I think a "thin lips" look is pretty easy to achieve with the already-present morphs but if there is some special shape, help me visualize it and I'll try my hand at a morph.

Here I am in my very own lip thread. wow, that looks great. No, I mean supurb!!! It's close to what I asked for before. Do u need me to post those ones again at all? Will we be able to adjust parts of those morphs separately eg the sides of the lips the bulges on each side of the middle, and the top lip separately, because that would be very useful? Love esther

It's just another morph target, that affects only the mouth and the philtrum.  It ought to mix with any other face morph just fine, although if you mix with a specific face morph that heavily reshapes the mouth there might be some problems.

At this time it's a single morph that affects the whole mouth, but it literally took me 30 minutes to do, so making separate morphs that do different things like exaggerate the left/right bulge on the lower lip shouldn't be very hard.  Either show me a picture with some notes that explains exactly what you want, or state it as explicitly as you possibly can in writing.  You could likely do this just as well on your own if you have P7, or practically any external modeling app, it really wasn't very hard.

estherau posted Wed, 14 March 2007 at 10:21 PM

Actually I have C4D but I'm a newbie and am just using it for rendering. I did hear though that as soon as you start adjusting a model in C4D that it rearranges the vertices and you can't get the bit to work as it was in poser anymore. I found the morphing brush a bit too clunky in poser 7 to do much. What you have done is absolutely amazing. I will send you some pics. Love esther

pjz99 posted Wed, 14 March 2007 at 10:26 PM

If your modeling app is rearranging vertices then it is doing something very wrong.  As long as you stick to the Wavefront OBJ format it really ought to be pretty straightforward.  This was done with the P7 morph brush - did you know you can simply scale the whole figure up 500% or 1000%, make your morph target, scale back down to 100% when you are finished?  it makes zooming in very close a lot more comfortable.

Quote - A more straight across the bottom part of the border of the lower lip like a male lip would also be cool. Love esther

That's doable.  How about some kind of transition between smooth curve and a stylized sharper, angular shape?

Looking at those, I'm pretty sure the built-in morphs can already do lips like hers - I'll make a stab at settings and see if you like them.  The first one is mostly makeup, the way her bottom lip is made to look.

Edit:  seems like the big distinctive feature about Ms. Barrymore's lips is the way the outer part of the top lip is very shallow.  Pretty sure I can duplicate that with the built in morphs, give me just a bit.

Ms. Balk's lips you could get to with this LipBottomTrapezoid morph, and making the lower lip wider (ought to do it).

Ms. Salenger - that looks like another separate morph I think, to yank down the space between the ridges of the philtrum.  I did that with the Lips-Bow "full lips" morph but didn't think to make it separate.  Easily added...

When you finish this project, what are the chances I could talk you into making something similar for the V4 eyelids?  They're my one remaining complaint about V4.  For example, it's almost impossible to make the outer half of them heavy and then taper the inner half.  With built-in morphs, they're pretty much either thin all the way across or heavy all the way across.

pjz99 posted Fri, 16 March 2007 at 11:00 PM

This project is done :)

The eyes are much harder to create new morphs for than the lips, because they're automatically deformed as the eyeballs rotate.  I don't mind taking a stab at it but it isn't likely I can do a whole lot, I don't know enough.  Can you show a picture that visualizes what you want?

I don't think the forked tongue morph I had in mind is going to be very practical.  I can morph the tongue easily enough when it's at a zero morph state, but it doesn't interact well with the built-in tongue morphs at all, if any of the built-in sliders are moved then the morph goes nuts - again, probably because of automatic deforming going on like the eyeball/eyelid relationship.

Hey pjz 99 love your lips!...ahh...err...I mean...your V4 Lip MTs. Since someone else had an alternate request I thought I would ask it here. Hope that doesn't upset too many folks here. If it does let me know and I will start a new thread. I have a deeply rooted foot fetish and was wondering if you would be interested in this challenge or if you or anyone else knows of any already in existance...but I would love to get some feet and toe morphs for V4. I have been religiously using V2 who had nicely shaped feet from out of the box. But someone...and I am sorry I just don't have a name here...created the V1/V2 funky toes morphs which not only allowed many individual toe movements but also size/shapes. I love V4 but her toes in relation to her foots are too long and pointy in my opinion and was hoping to get simlar toe mts to change both the size to foot relationship but also add individual toe shapes, sizes and movements! I know...weird..but I had to ask! :)

pjz99 posted Mon, 19 March 2007 at 5:20 PM

I can give that a try but I have no time just the now.  I'm not all that optimistic that I can create a new morph for this, that will behave well with the other foot morphs, for the same reasons as the tongue morph problems I had, but I'll give it a go.
