Here are some interesting developments in the world of computer-related video and graphics. The first is a technology that can take a video clip and map a texture onto any surface depicted in the clip:

The second is a technology that can do perfect motion-capture from just one simple video clip:

Can we expect these features to be an integral part of Poser some day -- perhaps by Poser 20?

and a "no nostril glow" button. I still see that on zombie-girls in nearly every gallery page. it was understandable in '97, but 10 years later it's just sad

Hopefully, not e-f. ;)

i expect by Poser 10 you will be able to move the figure about in real-time, like in a video game and record your Poser movie... there should be a bunch of preset motions like run, jump, climb stairs, open door, sit, cross room and pick up object, etc... I'd preorder that version right now!

Whom ever should own the company by then there will be no lack of "hurry get poser 20 out now I can't wait any longer just get it out I want it! I want it !" followed by mass pre-orders, followed by the usually grumblings and complaints the program was not what it was built up to be and we've been cheated.

My suggestion, lol, "Give figure expression" button! Or wait, better yet, an "erradicate vicki blank stare" button. The list of wanted buttons could go on and on! "Give Michael real shoulders" button! LOL.

I take it that no one here either owns or has tried MotionBuilder. It's my app of choice for character animation. It has real-time animation built-in. It takes some doing to get a figure from Poser into MB and then into C4D or Maya for final rendering but it's worth it. I don't have Poser 7 and have no intention of buying it. P5 works fine for me. Here's my pipeline: Poser export obj C4D import obj, then export to fbx MotionBuilder import fbx, add animation, export fbx Final render C4D import fbx or Maya import fbx
