Let me explain this in detail. last night (my time) at 9PM I posted an image in the Poser gallery. An hour later it was gone, after a few IM's and posting to the forum I recieved the following:
Hello cruzin,
Renderosity has recently changed its policy on thumbnails:
http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=13472
Your image " SpaceGirl Junko : Slavegirl Echo" uploaded to the Poser gallery contains nudity in the thumbnail. Therefore I have placed your image on hold until you can supply me with a new thumbnail that does not show the nude part of your image.
http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=13472
You can email me the new thumbnail at WON'T POST THE MOD'S EMAIL . I will then replace the thumbnail and restore your image to the galleries A.S.A.P. (Don't worry, all your comments, ratings and views will remain intact.)Please allow at least 24 hours for your image to be reactivated.
Thumb size requirements are minimum 100 x100, and maximum 200 x200 15 kb or less.
Please let me know if you have any questions or require further information.
END OF THE PASTE
Now the image inside had contained nudity (and I checked the nudity flag) but the thumbnail in question did not, it was of another image this image featured the same charecter and since I post stories the image in the thumbnail represened the story and the image inside, the thumb represented what had come before, the image represented the after.
Frustrated I stood up to 30 minutes past midnight, awaiting replies.....nothing (understandable I am sure the mods are quite busy...no sarcasm intended)
This morning, I get another IM from another mod, stating the image was pulled because it didn't accurately portray the image inside.
It represented the whole work (sorry I just can't call it art) I spend 30 or so minutes on a render, days on the text and I consider the text more important than the image but that's not the point.
The point is, if I show a thumb of a pretty leg and you open up the image it's a burly man with one shaven leg, the thumbnail doesn't represent the image, if I show a snakes head in the thumbnail and open the image and the head is attached to a woman's body....even better if put a "this image contains nudity" as a thumb, how does that represent the image inside?
2nd time with this same issue, the first time, I complied and changed the thumbnail (because I could stretchhhhhhhhhhhh my mind and kinda see the point, kinda not really but kinda) now it just seems like the mod in question saw that the image contained inside had nudity and even tho' thumbnail had none, the mod clicked and looked to see if I had violated the TOS, pullled the image for nudity in the thumbnail, when I pitched a fit why another mod explained it was a different reason (this mod I like but....) I think the reason isn't a reason.
So rather than have the mods look for creative ways to pull my images, I'd rather not post at all.
